Acid Garden. Miranda for Lydia

Miranda Makaroff teams up with her mother, the designer Lydia Delgado, once again to create a new collection.

The duo proposes a daring summer ahead with all kinds of prints and fabrics. Acid Garden is the name of the collection, which as Miranda tells us, comes from the mix between her mother and herself. Miranda would be ‘Acid’ as in the ‘Acid House’ she likes so much, but also acid fruits, like lemon, which is usually very summery. On the other hand Lydia would be ‘Garden’, more harmonious, romantic and pretty.

For the creation of Acid Garden, Miranda replies that her inspiration came from anything and everything. “We are used to absorbing so much information that surrounds us, films, music, art, tumblrs, people that inspire us, friends that inspire us and in the moment you create it all comes out, so it comes from all kinds of places”, says Makaroff.

A collection mixing retro and naïve elements, predominated by dresses with loosely flaring skirts, semitransparent blouses, and multicoloured lurex skirts, Miranda’s fetish garment.

“A liberated woman, who likes to look good, be independant, elegant but modern at the same time. She likes to enjoy life and always have a laugh”. This is the kind of woman Miranda for Lydia would dress, according to the designers themselves.

They also assure us that the collection will not be presented in a fashion show format, but rather with a vernissage, like they did last time. And that without a doubt, there will be more Miranda for Lydia.
